General

  • Avocado Bella is designed for set dressers, buyers, interior designers and stylists.
    Artworks can be used in films, TV series, advertising, social content or home styling.

  • Yes. This will generally be the production company's ABN. The owner of the ABN is responsible for the value of the artwork, and any fees associated with the hire.

  • For any artwork over the value of $500 per week we require a $500 deposit.

  • Lead times are generally 1-3 business days on large artworks and same business day for small artworks. For any fast track, same day deliveries, we will charge a rush fee, subject to availability.
    Custom works or custom sizes on photography can be negotiated via email.

  • Pick up is at The Nest Creative Studios, 76 Botany Road, Waterloo. Limited short term parking may be available.
    Favourable times are 10-4pm but always email ahead to confirm.

  • Works may be framed or unframed. This will be listed on the item description and your invoice.
    Unframed works are designed to be able to be put into a frame of your choice. Please handle with care.

  • Sticky prints are created using thousands of tiny suction like dots on the back of the print. They will not leave marks or residue on your walls. There is a similar risk to paint peeling as using any masking tape or BluTak, and application works best on well primed and sealed painting surfaces. Sticky prints are to be used at your own discretion and no liability will be taken by Avocado Bella for any damages from using this third party product.

    Avoid moist, greasy or textured surfaces.

Copyright and Insurance

  • The original artist retains all copyright.
    The production you hire for will receive licensing rights in perpetuity for that production, based on background use derived from the original artwork only.

    If characters speak about, touch or reference the artwork in any particular way, special permission needs to be granted from the artist in accordance with their moral rights.
    If the artwork needs to be scanned for use in VFX, animation or post production, special permission is required.

  • No. Once the artwork is picked up, the artwork is your productions' responsibility. Any damage or loss will need to be compensated for as per the contract.

Fees

  • We don't want to charge you anything for the sake of it, and understand that sometimes things happen.

    However, any late drops offs more than 24 hrs late will be charged at the day full day rate plus a $60 administration fee.
    If the late drop off coincides with another hire, even if only a few hours late, a delivery fee will also be added to the late fee(s).

  • If the item is damaged, you will be charged for the repair of that item.
    If a replacement is required, the hirer agrees to pay the total value of the artwork at seven (7) times the weekly hire cost.

  • Yes! However delivery is strictly on an agreed basis. Price is subject to distance.

  • Yes! We love to promote the industry by offering a discount code for these shoots. Email us at admin@avocado-bella.com with details. All discounts are at the discretion of the hirer.

Creative Ethics

  • Yes! All artists retain a majority of the hire fee, excluding any additional fees, such as delivery charges.
    Thank you for doing your part to support local, living artsists!

  • In recognition that Avocado Bella is working on stolen Indigenous Land of the Eora Nation with sovereignty never ceded, it will donate 5% of all net profits, after artists are paid, to a local Indigenous charity or community group.

  • We will be prioritising the re-use of packaging to minimise impact. Also, by providing one pickup spot for maximum hirers, we are reducing existing carbon footprint.
